Resumen:
In this study aimed to assessthe environmental impacts generated by a dairy agroindustry in CurraisNovos-RN.The methodology adopted was based on field visits, bibliographical research, photographic records, use of satellite images and application of environmental impact assessment methods: Ad Hoc, Check Lists and Matrix of Interaction.The study was structured as follows: mapping of the area of influence of the study; listing dairy activities; simplified environmental diagnosis; identification of environmental impacts; selection and classification of significant environmental impacts; proposing environmental control measures; and indication of environmental plans and programs.According to the results, 196 environmental impacts were identified, of which 81 were considered significant and 115 were not significant. Among the significant impacts, 12 were positive and 69 negative; 70 were reversible and anyone irreversible; 69 mitigable and 0 non-mitigable.A total of 31 environmental control measures were proposed and 8 environmental plans and/or programs were indicated.It ishoped that this study will contribute to the implementation of an Environmental Management System in the dairy agroindustry.
