Resumo:
The activities of agroindustries for the processing of animal products such as dairy products and cutting pig farms are potentially wasteful activities with high organic load. However, the high value of organic matter, which expresses the pollutant load, reflects the energy potential of these wastes used as raw material in biogas generation, through the technology of biodigesters, which, when well used, provides the production of energy Clean and promote the conservation of the environment. The objective of this work was to evaluate the technical and economic viability of a Biogas Plant in an Agroindustry of the Municipality of Pombal, Sertão Paraibano, with the aim of promoting a sustainable alternative to the region, aiming at the use of energy. For that, it was necessary to study the reality of the physiographic and economic aspects of the agroindustry, estimating the volume of waste generated and the biogas to be produced, resulting in the design of a 250 m3 Canadian Biodigester and other facilities that make up the plant, besides A Motor-Generator Set to meet the demand for electricity. With an initial investment estimated at R $ 44,068.98 and an annual savings of R $ 8,460.00, the investment for the 10 and 15 year life scenarios would be paid for the simple return period in five years, attesting to its economic viability.
