Résumé:
The aging process is a universal phenomenon and common to almost all human beings. The natural course of life brings changes that can significantly affect the lives of those who experience it. In this sense, the objective was to investigate the favorable factors of Nursing Care provided to elderly participants in an interactive group. The methodological approach used was a field study with a quantitative and qualitative approach and the data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire and represented by tables and graphs, those of a quantitative nature and by means of tables with the use of the collective subject's discourse. qualitative information. The sample consisted of 28 elderly people who participate in the Pastoral do Idoso of Paroquia São José Operário in the city of Cajazeiras - PB. The data were obtained through a semi-structured questionnaire with objective and subjective questions. The quantitative data were presented in tables and the results showed that 19 (67.9%) of the elderly people had already participated in the group for over a year and 17 (60.7%) of the sample had already participated in other social groups and the interest in participating came after old age for 14 (82.4%) of the 17 respondents who replied that they had experience in other groups previously. The subjective data were analyzed according to the DSC technique of Lefevre and Lefevre (2003) and presented in summary tables and pointed out that the Extension Project brought intangible benefits to the lives of the subjects that were expressed in their speeches, mainly recognizing that the activities provided an improvement in the activities of the working group. Another aspect highlighted was the need to work on themes that are in line with the reality experienced by the group, such as depression. With regard to living with the work team, the subjects' statements reveal feelings of joy and new experience (Great, they bring joy, with you and differently). Thus, it is important that elderly people are reinserted in society, as living in social groups provides joy and improves the life of these gerontines, allowing a rescue of human dignity.
