Resumo:
performance of single phase and three phase transformers used in distribution
systems of electrical energy in rural and urban areas, and an analysis of losses
associated with its operation under linear and nonlinear loads. Also is presented a
comparative analysis of technical and economic viability of amorphous alloy core
single-phase distribution transformers, with identical power ratings, in replace to the
traditional iron-silicon (FeSi) grain oriented (GO) core single-phase distribution
transformers, particularly with respect to losses in the core, in order to reduce them
and thus increase the energy efficiency, resulting in less need for electric power
generation that, consequently, contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gases to
the environment as CO² and SO².
