QUARESMA, Benício Duarte.
Resumen:
This work has as its theme the relationship between History and Music teaching and
was developed with the purpose of discussing its possibilities and limitations. We
understand that there may be a better understanding of the relationship between past /
present and what is taught in the classroom, based on the construction of bridges with
music. Thus, it is worth mentioning that the lyrics of the songs can provide the student
with a better context in relation to the elements indicated through the historical period
worked in class. We start from the assumption that the educational environment is a
field of challenges for the progress of the teaching profession. Faced with this
challenge, we propose a work that reflects issues related to the relationship between
history and music teaching and we seek, in this way, to contextualize how music
emerged and influenced social and historical relations; discuss theoretical issues that
point out limitations and possibilities of using music in teaching and propose
pedagogical activities for the use of music in history teaching. Thus, this research is of
paramount importance to reflect the construction of the student's identity who work in
our society as a criticalreflective historical agent, having in the same way the
knowledge that the school becomes the place of discovery and meaning, and the
knowledge it occurs from the outside in, facilitating the training of students through a
continuous relationship, clarified through reasoned discussions based on determined
circumstances
