Resumen:
This research intends to analyze the History and the trajectory of power of Francisco Aristides Ferreira, in the policy of Lavras da Mangabeirace, his choices as an individual and political choices that made him mayor in the city three times. We analyzed the political events in the city during the period from 1970 to 2004, to better understand the historical context of the political career of the Lavrense leader. To carry out the research, we will work with socalled official TRE-CE documents, campaign jingles and Lavrense istoriography books that address the aforementioned section. Based on the forementioned sources, we want to understand how Francisco Aristides could be acralized by politics, managing to remain in power for almost two decades, in different national and local political situations, in addition to the appropriation of vacancy in his political heritage after his death. An analysis of the political events in the 1970s is proposed, which boosted a new conjuncture in Lavrense politics, establishing new power relations and forming new groups of political domain. Based on a dialogue with the socalled New Political History, we consider longterm time as essential to understand power relations and their ransformations in each historical moment studied here.
