Resumo:
Grounding systems have an important role, especially considering the safety of
people and equipment of the system. For the purpose of facilitating the work of
designers of reclamation, several software features computational tools to assist ground
loops projects elaboration. In this perspective, this study aims to present a TecAt Plus
5.2 software tutorial. Among many other functions, this program performs the
stratification of soil and checks whether the potential that arise on the surface of the
mesh, when there is a ground fault, are lower than the maximum step potential and
touch a person can withstand without the occurrence of ventricular fibrillation. With the
results obtained by the simulation, it was concluded that the software is quite effective
in ground project.
