Resumen:
This paper aims to evaluate the performance of national electric supply companies
regarding the quality of the product and services provided. The evaluation initiates presenting
a typical power distribution system and describing the main disturbances that affect the quality
of the electricity distributed. Regarding the current regulation’s standards, it describes the
terminologies, the phenomena, the parameters and the reference values concerning disturbances
of the voltage waveform, as well as it presents the continuity indicators, provided by ANEEL
at PRODIST, whereby it is possible to measure the services’ quality. In sequence, it details
some regulatory incentives adopted to increase electricity supply quality, and the impacts of
these actions at the tariff arrangements. Lastly, it presents a comparison based on the electric
supply companies about the voltages levels conformity indicators, continuity indicators and
average service time to emergencies situations indicators.
