Résumé:
The constant generation of liquid effluents in urban centers, associated with high rates, in terms of development, especially in cities where effluent management is carried out in an inadequate way. The present work show a proposal of an effluent treatment system for the municipality of Igaracy -PB. For the development of the research, frequent visits were made in loco, with records of records and unstructured interviews to residents and contributions by the sanitation sector without municipality, as well as bibliographical research on the subject. Based on this, a characterization of the sanitary sewage service of the city was developed, aiming at analyzing a situation of the current effluent management method employed and identifying the impacts caused by it, to finally propose an adequate sewage treatment system according to the needs of the studied area. According to the results obtained, it was verified the inefficiency of the system adopted in the municipality, being indicated, then, the treatment of effluents by anaerobic lagoon followed by facultative lagoon (Australian System), whose dimensioning presented favorable for the region studied.
