Resumo:
In 2001 occurred in Brazil an electric energy crisis, restricting temporarily the
use of electricity in several sectors of the economy. From this, how alternative solution
to the energy deficit, arose the incentive for cogeneration of electric energy. The
transformation process of solar energy in electrical energy through photovoltaic panels
is a cogeneration example. In this context, we carried out a study of the economic
viability of implantation of photovoltaic panels in a residence as an option for reduction
of electric energy conventional consumption, which represents average monthly
consumption of 395 kWh. The energy transformation system projected consists of 10
photovoltaic panels, one Inversor and one string box. The total savings generated by the
system was R$ 68.272,00 in 20 years and the payback period investment of R$
23.254,49 occurs in between the seventh and the eighth year. Being 25 years the use
time of photovoltaic panels, the use of technology, in actuality, presents economic
viability.
