Resumo:
The heating microwave (MO) is fast and convenient, but it is highly nonuniform.
When a material is subjected to heating by microwave, some parts of the material can
heat unevenly. A model of microwave heating helps to understand the temperature
distribution non-uniformity in furnaces of domestic and industrial microwave, and is a
useful tool to develop more efficient furnaces. The aim of this study was to develop a
computer model through a simulation software called COMSOL Multiphysics. The
model uses the resolution of Maxwell equations using finite element method (FEM), in
conjunction with heat transfer equations. The model was used to describe the heating of
a sphere (vermiculite) for 30s and 5s, with a power of 1500W injected, and the cavity
has dimensions household. Finally, changes were made in the sample cavity and the
location, in order to increase the efficiency of the microwave oven
