Abstract:
The virtual reality simulation for electric substations operators training is the main
feature of SimuLIHM, a simulator developed at LIHM, in UFCG. However, generating
training scenarios is still a very complex task, which could benefit from a graphical user
interface cable of supporting the definition and generation of such scenarios, in a more
ergonomic way. The objective of this work was to develop a Scenarios Editor that could
solve the current scenario generation issues. During this project, a unified graphical user
interface was created for the task of generating a virtual world representation of a
substation control room and for generating the sequence of events to be triggered during
the simulation. This work was validated by generating a scenario, associated with the
definition of a corresponding three-dimensional environment, where the events, only
temporal ones, are associated to the objects in this environment.
