Abstract:
The melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a tropical fruit Cucurbitaceae that has great com-mercial importance in the Northeast, due to its socioeconomic value, being appreci-ated for its qualitative characteristics. It is known that the treatments submitted to seeds and seedlings in a small dose application of products with high precision con-tributes to the reduction of input costs and protects the plant from biotic and abiotic stresses. The objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of the applica-tion of VIUSID-AGRO biostimulant on the growth, yield and quality of melon fruit in different stages of cultivation: seed immersion, leaf application and application via fertigation and fruit control. The treatments tested were: 4 modes of application of the Viusid biostimulant (1 = Seed immersion and seedling application via leaf; 2 = Seed immersion, seedling application via leaf and application in fertirrigation pro-duction; 3 = application fertirrigation and 4 = No application of biosimulant (Witness) and 2 fruit number controls (1 = number of free fruits and 2 = 2 (two) fruits per plant. The treatments were distributed in a factorial scheme 4 x 2, = totaling 8 treatments, with four replications, consisting of 64 plots The Gladial F2 cultivar used in the yel-low melon group was used, and the application of VIUSID-AGRO biostimulant in the different stages of melon cultivation did not produce significant results. on fruit growth, yield and quality, except for peel thickness. This suggests that further testing with VIUSID-AGRO is necessary in this same growing situation. , for confirmation of both results.
