Resumo:
In This thesis it is presented the steps for the development of a communication system, aiming the monitoring of insulators on transmission lines using fiber optical cable. On the proposed system, presents its description, specifications and implementation, where, first are discussed the communication protocols. The communication mechanism, which are samples of values to be used in the conversion of analog measurements of voltage and current, sent by Ethernet packets, was implemented. The target of this work was to create a communication that allowed sending and reading messages package from the communication system to the computer that receive and analyze the messages. Thus, enabling the remote monitoring of insulators. For the simulations is used the software for development kit of Texas Instruments. Also is used the software Wireshark to analyze the sent and received messages. The results presented validated the use of the communication system proposed in this paper.
