Energia eólica offshore: potencial e desafios de implantação.

Abstract

Offshore Wind Energy emerges as an alternative to expand the market for renewable energy. In addition to emitting low amounts of greenhouse gases, this energy source performs better than the Onshore Wind Energy source in segments such as noise emissions, visual impact, stability and wind power density. This work deals with the study of the World offshore wind potential, its operation ranging from the condition of the wind to the installation of wind farms and the functioning of the turbines, the advantages of this type of renewable energy, besides discussing the main problems and challenges of this energy segment.
