Abstract:
In the present, with the growing demand for energy and constant concern for the
environment, the need arose to develop alternative generation technologies, also called
renewable energies. In this environment, the generation of wind energy appears as a
good option, due the fact that it has a great availability of source for the generation,
which are the air currents, and to be seen with a low polluting potential. In spite of this,
a previous study is necessary to analyze the viability of a large construction based on
this technology. Other studies are carried out constantly in the wind farms, in order to
obtain production indexes and targets to be reached along the time of operation, analysis
of the main problems, average time of inactive wind turbines, among other difficulties
encountered. This work presents a direct view on the wind farms of Icaraízinho and
Pedra Cheirosa, emphasizing all aspects of its operation.
