Resumen:
In order to complement the fuel fossil with renewable energy sources and due to
hasty expansion of Brazilian electrical sector, the Brazilian Energy Matrix has shown a
great need to diversify its energy source. The relevance of integrating new sources of
renewable energy, combined with environmental concerns and the highly Brazilian`s
solar irradiance potential, makes of Brazil a lucrative place for investment on solar energy
technologies. This work paper has focus at solar power and does a study of generation
system from solar panels evidencing the main characteristics from the system. In
sequence, the design of an on-grid photovoltaic system, which is made by 150
photovoltaic panels of 320 Wp and three converter DC-AC of 15 kW each, estimated
average annual production of 74 MWh of energy. This work paper concludes with a study
of economic feasibility based on energy fare from the local power distribution company.
The proposal has presented itself as financially viable, its payback period of nine years
and seven months, thus a motivation for the Brazilian solar energy market.
