Resumen:
The conventional methods for voltage level control are concentrated in medium
voltage. In some case, they are not enough to correct the voltage on secondary grid of
distribution. This work presents the problems related to voltage regulation at low voltage,
conventional methods for voltage correction and a strategy for voltage control on the low
voltage of the distribution grid and the implementation of a remote measurement system
as a strategy for low voltage control, maintaining it in accordance with the required
standards by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), based on Module 8 of the
Procedures for Distribution of Electric Energy in the National Electric System
(PRODIST), entitled Quality of Electric Energy. Voltage control is important to ensure
the stability of the Electrical Power System and the good performance of the equipment
installed in the distribution network and the customers connected to it, in addition to
attend the current legislation and avoiding penalties. Based on the carried out analyses, it
can be concluded that these methodologies are useful as effective strategies for voltage
control on secondary grid of distribution.
