Resumo:
This paper presents a case study of wind generation based on the Santa Luzia Wind
Complex, located in state Para ba, Brazil. For this, the wind conditions and geographic
characteristics of the site, the layout of the complex, the equipment that composes the
complex, its installed capacity and the investment itself were analyzed. The work takes
a historical approach and contextualizes wind energy in a panorama covering the world
and especially Brazil. A bibliographical review is made about the basic principles of
wind generation, the operation of a wind turbine as well as the parts that compose it and
its technologies.
