Abstract:
This master’s dissertation is situated in the literature teaching area and it focuses on the analysis of the presence of female authored literature in classroom. In a qualitative and participatory methodological character, it had as objective to investigate, using reading circles in a 9th grade class, the female representativeness in the poetry of cearenses authors in school environment and how these works provide the opportunity to discuss about the socio-cultural context, specially the gender patterns. This approach starts from the study of poetic works of the writers Leda Estergilda de Abreu e Zilda Marinho pursuant Connell and Pearse (2015, 2016), Dalcastagnè (2012) and Miskolci (2012). The discussion done here is based in the assumption that the literature, more specifically the poems reading, contributes reflexively to the broaden of worldview of each reader, becomes, therefore, a tool for (re) construction of meaning and perception of gender expressions in different contexts of production and reception. In this way, from the comparative study of gender patterns in these authors’ works, we can point similarities and differences marked by socio-cultural context where they are immersed. The result of the study indicates the importance of using of contemporary female authored literature in sociodiscursive reflections in the schools for the perception of gender expressions by students, from the reflective and dialogical methodologies, specially the reading circles.
