Resumo:
The present work aims to focus on the teaching process learning mathematics
contributing to the construction of student knowledge about the Pythagorean Theorem
so that it is able to solve problem situations, making it capable of
build the fundamental concepts for access to mathematical knowledge, more
specifically, the geometry of the right triangle; analyzing each step of the demon—
Theorem, using a Kit as a teaching tool, designed to help
give the student to understand both the proof of the Pythagorean theorem and the
metric relationships in the right triangle. Based on historical principles and
theoretical discussions analyzing from the origin to the formalization of the mathematical object
in question. In this way, a pedagogical proposal will be described and elaborated for
demonstration of the Pythagorean theorem and the metric relations in the right triangle,
starting from an experience with the class A of the year A of the State School of
Elementary and High School José Luiz Neto.
