Résumé:
This study aimed to describe and characterize the process of implementing the
project of cuttivation of titapia Oreochmmis niloticus (Chitralada Lineage), the system
of tanks-net in the Açude do Boqueirão do Cais, Cuité - PB. The cuttivation and their
respective monitoring were conducted from Mar'ch 2007 to Demrnber 2009 with the
aim of providing a training program, disseminating infonnation, knowledge.
entrepreneurship and technotogy in growing tilapia in tanks-net. The lifting of the
demographic profile of the tishermen indicated that, regarding gender, 90% are male
and 10% femaie. Most are aged between 31 and 50 years. Manta! status is 40%
married, 25% unmarried and 35% other. The schooi is 40% Iiterate, 20% with no
schooling and 10% had completed high schooi. As for housing, 75% live in their own
home, 10% rented, 10% and 5% transfen'ed to another type. In social organization,
60% of participating organizations and 30% said they participate in unions. As for the
Fishing industry, 57,14% use the net as giii net catch. 90% use the tish for trade.
Tilapia is the tish of higher commercial value. 37.04% selling live fish. 50% keep the
fish in freezer and 85% have heard of ãsh cuiture in tanks—net in 2007 courses were

From May 2008 to December 2009 in 04 produciíve cydes of tilapia, grew up
monossexuados 35 000 fingenings of tilapia Oreodrmmis niloticus, Chitraiada
lineage. acquired in Aquacutture Paulo Otávio station, Limoeire — PE. in fish feed
was used 38901 bags of ration type extruded, containing 50, 40, 35 and 32% crude
protein in different stages of cuitivation. The fish is sold at the market-piece in Cuité
and CONAB. The handiing was carried out with the technical expertise, monitoring of
physical and chemimi parameters of pond water. The temperature ranged between
28.1 and 17.3 oC. The color of the water remained within the standards set for good
productivity. There were marked turbidity in the water cuitivation. Transparency
ranged between 56.5 and 35.4 cm. Oxygen dissolved ranged between 8.3 and 2.9
mg/L. aikalinity ranged bem/een 195.0 and 109.9 mg/L. pH ranged between 8.0 and
4.5 pH and arnmonia between 0.30 and 0, 05 mglL. The results revealed the
technical feasibiiity of cuitivation of Nile tiiapia (Chihalada lineage) in tanks—net in
Açude do Boqueirão do Cais.
