Résumé:
Current Transformers (CT) are Instrument Transformers (IT), specially manufactured
for the use in electrical systems with the purpose of measurement, control or
protection. In the analytical studies of these instruments, the theoretical foundation is
based on the fundamental laws of electromagnetism derived from Maxwell's
equations and on the equivalent magnetic circuits obtained from the magnetomotive
forces, reluctances and magnetic fluxes. In this work are used computational
simulations based on the finite element method to obtaining the magnetic induction
distribution inside the toroidal core. From these simulations, it was possible to verify
that the magnetic induction is distributed in an unequal way in the radial direction of
the toroidal core. Thus, in this work are presented analytical studies and
computational simulations of CT with toroidal core of magnetically soft material with
FeSi and nanocrystalline alloy and a composite core with the union of these two
materials.
