Resumo:
The solar photovoltaic system has been one of the main renewable energies in
recent years, due to the fact that solar irradiation in Brazil has a small annual variability
and its distribution is considered uniform, as well as having one of the highest solar
radiation rates on Earth. The installation of this system is easy to apply, since an extra
structure is generally not necessary, since the boards are normally installed on the surface
of the buildings.
The purpose of this work is to evaluate the solar incidence and the sunshine period
in the city of Floriano / PI, associating them with the electric energy generated by the
IFPI-Floriano photovoltaic system. The analysis of the production of the generated energy
is made from the data obtained through the software Radiasol 2, which calculates the solar
radiation of any region of Brazil, and the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET),
which provides the rainfall index data to each month of the year. The photovoltaic system
of the IFPI-Floriano has 660 solar panels, the installation of this system is connected to
the grid, in which the generation of electric energy generates credits to be consumed by
the units.
Considering as main results the data related to global inclined and horizontal
radiation; orientation of the plates and the rainfall index due to the fact that they are
important data for the capture of solar radiation from the solar panels. The data obtained
were satisfactory, achieving the objectives of this work successfully and concluded that
photovoltaic systems can be installed in the city of Floriano to generate electricity in
homes, schools, companies, so that the return of invested capital is before the end of the
equipment life.
