Resumo:
The demand for artificial climatization and associated energy consumption has grown
significantly in recent years, this fact imposes the need to activate the warning signal
and to devise strategies that go hand in hand with this growth, in order to make it more
efficient and reduce the economic impact generated. With the growth of the Federal
University of Campina Grande-Campus CG-PB, and the search for thermal comfort in
the work environment due to the average increase in temperatures recorded in recent
years, the load of air conditioners increases significantly, which significant increase in
the consumption of electric energy and together, a concern inherent to the management
of the indiscriminate use of these devices. An energy efficiency plan in the use of these
devices at Campina Grande UFCG-Campus is necessary and essential to efficiently
guide the growing use of artificial air conditioning in order to reduce the impact on
electric energy expenditures. In this work the analysis of the impact of the use of air
conditioners on energy expenditures in Campina Grande Campus of the UFCG is made,
and measures are proposed to reduce the demand generated by these devices.
