Resumo:
The Smart Grids are a modern electric power system that allows bi-directional
power flow and uses information technology and control techniques to improve the
system more efficiency (economically and energetically), reliable and sustainable.
Electric cars with its simple architecture and high performance, are dominating the
automotive sector. Its main characteristics are its electric motors and its batteries that
use the electrical energy coming from the grid, granting them the advantage of high
connectivity and the use of renewable energies. In this context, this work presents the
concept of the use of electric vehicles as distributed energy storage resource (Vehicle to
Grid), which combines in a single integrated system the smart grid and the electric
vehicles and offers a wide range of utilities and benefits to the electrical system and its
consumers. In this work, several scientific articles published on the subject were studied
and, as a result, simulations, tests and experiments were summarized, as well as their
respective results.
