Resumo:
The project developed in the Automation Laboratory of LIEC devised a didactic
bench of interdisciplinary character to be used in practical classes for students of Electrical
Engineering, for the control of variables, based on the Programmable Logic Controllers
(PLCs) CompactLogix and ControlLogix of Rockwell Automation. The developed bench
will allow students to address topics of instrumentation and industrial control through
the operation of instruments used in industrial applications and control loops. Moreover,
the module can be used for learning in the area of Industrial Networks and for the development
of Supervisory Software applications. The use of teaching aids stands in the
learning process and the development of technical education, encouraging the acquisition
of knowledge. Through the stands, students can experience the feeling of working on a real
process, but in a distant this and although its main use is as a complementary didactic
activity environment, ends up being a more tangible and motivating experience compared,
for example, the realization a lecture or a simulation. Thus, based on this premise it is
essential that the engineer is familiar with this technical approach, which is of fundamental
importance for their formation.
