Abstract:
In this work a virtual environment is presented to assist students and teachers in
the teaching and learning of electric motors activation methods. The methodology is
based on the development of a serious game through the Construct 2 © platform, which
intuitively enables the execution of projects related to virtual simulations and
computational games. The use of the virtual environment aims to enable the users to
familiarize themselves with the electric motors activation subject, facilitating the
execution of physical experiments, being configured as a good pre-laboratory resource,
with the possibility of being used anywhere, at any time, for better learning of the
execution of the main assemblies related to activation of electric motors. Pre-laboratory
and experimental resources are important tools for student development, making them
the most active agent and protagonist of obtaining their own knowledge, as well as a
good didactic resource that can be used by the teacher as a way to apply the exposed
content. The program developed is a useful tool for the demonstration of the subject in
classrooms, since this requires only one computer. Furthermore, from the use of the
platform it is possible to understand the connections necessary for the operation of the
motor in various configurations, which allows the user to make physical assemblies
with more practicality after using it.
