Abstract:
In this work the main steps in the development of the Virtual Defects Simulator Panel
Board, a virtual environment created with the objective to assist the identification and
analysis of defects in industrial command boards, are presented. For the development, the
software Construct 2 was adopted, which is free, simple to use and has ample online
documentation. Based on the defects simulator panel board of the Brazilian manufacturer
WEG, available at the Electrical Installations Laboratory of the graduation course in
electrical engineering of the Federal University of Campina Grande, the developed
environment is capable of simulating al 24 defects that the real equipment simulates
randomly. By utilizing the Virtual Defects Simulator Panel Board, the user may test his
knowledge in analyzing and identifying defects and verify his performance considering
the amount of mistakes committed. The developed virtual environment is a facilitating
tool for teaching and learning and is geared towards the academic environment.
