Resumo:
Transformers are installed at both urban and rural centers, playing an essential role on
the operation of electrical network. On efficiency energy path, several producers and
researchers strive to predict, measure and reduce the energy loss associated with the operation
of the equipments. Regarding the use of new magnetic materials, amorphous metals are a
viable technology to replace the traditional silicon alloys, while nanocrystallines alloys has
the potential to be used in solid state models. In this work, by means of literature survey,
considerations on the development of distribution transformers in the context of energy
efficiency are exposed on timeline, presenting analytical and computational studies published
over the years about the use of new magnetic circuit materials.
