Abstract:
The present work is based on a bibliographic review that includes the survey of research and
the elaboration of records based on the readings of the selected material, being characterized as
an exploratory research. The purpose of the proposal was to reflect on the recurring themes, as
well as on the main questions and theoretical references about High School in the EJA modality
through a quantitative and qualitative approach. Such a survey was carried out among the
Course Conclusion Papers available at the library of the Federal University of Campina Grande,
campus of Cuité-PB. The purpose of developing this research is to contribute to the field of
studies of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in the face of the presentation and analysis of data
obtained during the same. Therefore, based on the identified works, we are guided by the
elaboration of categories based on the main recurrences of these works. Twelve TCCs were
selected, which met the established inclusion criteria and were published between the years
2010 and 2020. The research showed: the interdisciplinary nature of the studies; the
predominance of research that addresses qualitative and quantitative qualitative methodologies;
the theoretical diversity that underlies this field of investigation. In view of the limited number
of course completion papers on the subject of YAE, the importance of exploring this area of
research and knowledge production was realized. Thus, it was possible to say that the
productions found did not have as main objective to investigate and analyze the EJA / EM as
an object in itself, which attests to the lack of protagonism conferred to the Education of Youths
and Adults in the scientific environment.
