Resumo:
We seek to understand sociologically, throughout this dissertation, how the cordelista Bráulio Bessa manages to establish updates in his professional project of the
presentation of himself, based on possible readings and knowledge that are formed in
his surroundings. The question that permeates all this discussion is how Bráulio transits
between the figure of a popular poet, with a repertoire that represents the authentic
countryman in the social imaginary and, based on this experience, how he manages
strategies to build and reconstruct his performance in a general picture of the modern
world. For this, we seek to highlight the impacts and the dimension of his exhibitions -
possible to be observed in Bráulio's own work, in reviews, in criticism, social networks
and in the reception of the public - in the moral imagination that emerges from the
relationship between poet and public.
