To remain competitive, organizations have been looking for ways to improve their performance
concerning competitors. In this sense, an important strategy is to build long-term relationships
with suppliers, which directly influence the quality of their products. Thus, in addition to the
need to use structured techniques for contracting them, it is necessary to evaluate their
performance during the contract period, as a way of analyzing the possibility of building
partnerships with those who have adequate performance, creating improvement programs for
those who have moderate performance or finalize contracts with suppliers that do not achieve
desired performance levels. In this way, the present work aims to identify a multicriteria model
to support the decision to evaluate the performance of suppliers. As a result of this study, the
model proposed by Araújo (2015) was used to evaluate the performance of pre-selected
suppliers. In this sense, this model was applied in the textile industry, with the aid of the Visual
