Abstract:
Basic Care is considered an important tool in the care process offered by the Health Care Network in Brazil, being responsible for representing the entrance door for several types of care and services. Because of this, the reception, which is part of the care process, shows itself as a fundamental piece during the care provided to the community, including all transgender population that looks for some kind of assistance. Thus, the general objective of this study was to identify the experiences and experiences of transgender people about welcoming in Basic Care. It is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, mediated by action-research. The study was carried out with eight participants, remotely, through the Google Meet videoconference system, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, being intermediated by the LGBTQIA+ Municipal Council of Cajazeiras - Paraíba. For the collection of data, during the realization of the situational diagnosis a questionnaire was applied to identify the experiences and experiences of transgender people about the reception in the Basic Attention, later educational interventions were carried out in front of the situational diagnosis, using a second questionnaire to evaluate the knowledge acquired by the participants from the actions carried out. It was used to analyze the material found in the Collective Subject Speech. The study respected the ethical precepts disposed in Resolution 510/2016 of the National Health Council, being approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Campina Grande/Teacher Training Center under opinion nº 4,216,477. It was observed the existence of feelings involving embarrassment and discomfort expressed by the participants, besides experiences involving episodes of transphobia and unpreparedness of professionals during the reception and care offered by Basic Care. Therefore, through the results obtained after the interventions, it was possible to identify that the educational actions achieved the proposed objectives, since the participants reported an increase in knowledge on the subject, allowing the construction of new knowledge.
