Resumo:
Based on the need for continuous improvement, charged by the market to companies in order to remain competitive, self-knowledge becomes indispensable to them, identifying, for example, losses in their production process and opportunities for optimization in their management methods. With that in mind, and with a cachaça production company as a target, we sought ways to improve a production control system, through the automation of the production volume measurement method. This study aims to discuss the identification of the problem present in the production process, justify the change made and the choice of components for this, describe the application of these components and evaluate the results obtained. A descriptive, exploratory, quali-quantitative and hypothetical-deductive case study is then carried out. Therefore, a better defined and tolerable precision was observed in the new system, identifying values, referring to the volume of production, which differ from the old method, which encourages a re-planning of production. The change made generated satisfactory results, bringing greater practicality and reliability to the production control and opening possibilities for future improvements.
