Resumo:
In this work were applied in an integrated approach geotechnologies and the geophysical method of electroresistivity, with the objective of performing the evaluation of hydrogeological potential in the municipality of Areia-PB, Northeastern Brazil. The use of geotechnology tools in GIS environment allowed the clear spatialization of the physiographic, geological, structural and productive parameters of wells that indicate hydrogeological favorability, with this it was
possible to characterize the contrast between the distinct hydrogeological potential for the NW portions of the municipality, located on a transcurrent shear zone, and the North, East and Southeast areas of the municipality of Areia-PB. The confirmation of hydrogeological favorability in the distant parts of the Transcurrent Shear Zone was demonstrated from the results of the 2D geoelectric section at the Pirauá site, and on the 3D geoelectric models obtained at the Macaco and Saboeiro sites.
