Corn (Zea mays) is affected by a multitude of diseases, which most often are spread by the seeds, causing great damage and losses in the production. Therefore, seed treatment is essential to ensure good productivity with higher yields. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of Trichoderma harzianum on the physiological quality of maize from three plots grown by small farmers: plot 1 in the municipality of Sumé - PB, plot 2 in the municipality of Monteiro - PB and plot 3 in the municipality of Prata - PB. All seeds were submitted to treatment with Trichoderma harzianum in different procedures. In the control, all tests were done only with immersion in ADE. With Trichoderma harzianum treatments, the biocontroller was applied directly to the seeds, as well as the fungicide. The design used was completely randomized. The following fungi were identified in corn seeds from the municipalities of Paraíba: Aspergillus sp .; Aspergillus niger; Penicillium sp. and Fusarium sp. The use of Trichoderma harzianum in concentrations of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 / 100kg seeds in the concentration of 1.0 x 1010 applied to corn seeds was effective in reducing Aspergillus sp .; Aspergillus niger; Penicillium sp. and Fusarium sp. Trichoderma harzianum did not interfere negatively in the physiological quality of the seeds and provided an increase in the germination percentages.
