Resumen:
This work aims to understand the relationship between heteronormativity in the male characters
present in the tales “Sargento Garcia”, “Aqueles Dois” e “Terça-Feira Gorda” from the book
Morangos Mofados (2005) by Caio Fernando Abreu. In addition to that, webase our study on
the theorists with philosopher Judith Butler (2003), Richard Miskolci (2011) and Guacira Louro
(2012), about heteronormativity. The production of this research work arose from the passion
for the texts of the writer Caio Fernando Abreu and, accentuated by the scarcity of works
focused on the analysis of tales from the perspective of heteronormativity. Our work consists
of a qualitative approach, bibliographic in nature, and our analysis aims at the male characters
of the chosen tales and the relation of heteronormativity to the literary text. Finally, we will
bring the result achieved with the analysis of the short stories, with the development of the
research and when realizing the importance of heteronormativity, it is possible that other studies
on the works of Caio Fernando Abreu can be analyzed for the bias. Finally, heteronormativity
provides us with a perspective of the stories that little is used by critics.
