Entre o ser e o não ser: limites e possibilidades na experiencia identitária de homens trans na cidade de Cajazeiras-PB.

Abstract

The objective of this work is from the report of experiences of trans men who reside in the space called the high sertão of Paraíba, having as a field of socialization the city of Cajazeiras - PB problematize how these lines about the male, thought from a binary gender relationship, from some way leads these subjects to attitudes and behaviors that legitimize them as men. For the development of the research we used oral history as methodological source, dialoguing it with the intellectual debate that weaves the discussions in around indenitary and masculinity constructions. We use the readings from the Brazilian sociologist Berenice Bento, especially her works "What is the transsexuality'', Judith Butler and Raewyn Connell to think the mechanisms discursive and categorizers about sex, gender and identity and consequently, about all subjects who escape the rules and norms. Such a cutout also in the makes it possible to think about the power relations and disputes that intertwine the construction of masculinities, whether cis or trans, in the upper sertão of Cajazeirense. At readings of Durval Muniz de Albuquerque Júnior's work on construction of the "Cabra Macho" that refer to the cultural and social constructions of the ideal would of man, inhabitant of space geographically and historically conceived by northeast were also important. In this way, proposing reflections on these subjects who resinify their identities, understanding subjectivity, sensitivity and strength of these bodies in the face of the "hegemonic" cis-normative discourse.
