Resumo:
Nature has unpredictable forces, such as earthquakes, which can generate considerable impacts on buildings. As much as these natural forces are not so destructive in Brazil, the country's structures must be able to withstand seismic efforts. Taking this into account, this work proposes to analyze a structure in reinforced concrete according to the parameters of standard ABNT NBR 15421:2006, varying the seismic zones, besides making a brief comparative study considering the earthquake acting with the wind through the parameters of standard ABNT NBR 6123:1988. The CYPECAD software was used for modeling the structure and from it were removed the lateral displacements, absolute, relative and the steel mass that served for seismic analysis by the spectral method. The results showed that there is a proportionality between the value of horizontal gravitational acceleration and displacements. The maximum relative displacements were 11 mm, 17 mm and 33.5 mm for models 1, 2 and 3, respectively. This behavior was due to the soil parameters and stiffness of the structural parts being kept constant in all cases. In the models that considered the wind, the earthquake only had an impact on the model that used the highest value for horizontal acceleration, where it presented an increase in steel mass of 543 Kg in relation to the model that contained only the wind, but the study is in a fictitious building, and it is necessary that, in a real situation, all the particularities
of the building be considered.
