Résumé:
In Brazil, especially on non-metropolitan regions, residents and local producers suffer due to lack of infrastructure on low volume traffic roads, however, these roads are extremely important to the agricultural producers, for instance, when transporting their products toward the big cities. In face of the adversities, the civil construction business searched for solution which minimized the expenses from road works, currently there are many materials and alternative methods, such as chemical stabilizers capable of providing better road quality for the transport of people and products, increasing comfort, safety and transportation speed. In order to produce this piece of work, a bibliographical survey was carried out through the use of electronic consultation, taking in consideration documents such as scientific articles, books, theses and essays regarding the theme, this work strives for reuniting knowledge on the use and application of soil chemical stabilization methods. It was evidenced how each type of stabilizer acts on the soil’s physical attributes, in what attributes they are more, or less, effectives. In conclusion, many results that are a common view among the numerous researches conducted by the authors could be verified, which factors are important to the measure the effectiveness of the chemical stabilization methods researched, as well as analyzing that the same chemical stabilizer doesn’t act in the same way depending on the soil classification, and thus each method of chemical stabilization has different kinds of soil favorable to its application.
