Abstract:
In this work, we study quadratic functions as well as their characterization, representing
graphic representation and applications of the parable. In the development of the work, an attempt was made to
contemplate the algebraic form of the quadratic function through the deduction of its equation,
addressing some demonstrations not found in high school textbooks. Regarding the
graphical representation we demonstrate that the graph of the quadratic function is a parabola
and as an application we justify why mirrors and antennas are parabolic. present
we also have the relationship between quadratic function and arithmetic progressions a
from the Quadratic Functions Characterization Theorem and use the Jump game
of Rã to motivate students and teachers to study this Theorem.
