Resumo:
The coast has suffered serious problems in relation to the disorderly
development of coastal cities due to poor urban planning that consequently
affects the environment. Moreover, the coast of Paraiba has a significant
importance if we observe it in relation to the other regions. As a result, it suffers
from the impacts of coastal erosion. This research aims to inspect the
transformations resulting in the municipality of João Pessoa, through the analysis
of cartographic products, to assist in preventive measures that managers are
responsible for the execution of urban projects on the waterfront. For this, we try
to delineate what can be understood by coastal areas and their dynamics, and
how society contributes, in the sense of landscape transformations and in the
natural dynamics of these same areas. Remote sensing techniques were used as
a research method. For this study, images of landsat 5 and landsat 8 satellites,
available by the USGS, were used. and photogrammetry obtained by the site of
the city hall of João Pessoa named geo.joaopessoa. Supervised classification
techniques were performed using the SCP (semi-automatic plugin) in the free
software Qgis. The images generated and analyzed with the SCP plugin made it
possible to make maps of supervised classifications indicating the spatial
variability of the areas and the direction of the urban spot on the vegetation and
sand range over these 35 years of study. The final result of this work proved the
urban progress in areas of vegetation and consequently on the edge of João Pessoa.
