Abstract:
The need to increase food production in a sustainable way is increasingly present. In
this way, agricultural inputs are necessary elements for agricultural sectors to achieve
crop production. A material that has been widely publicized in the manufacture of
various products are microalgae. Microalgae are seen as an energy source that could
supply all the demand for fossil fuels, without compromising food production and
without putting pressure on the deforestation of forests. Due to the fact that they are
alternative sources of organic compounds used in the production of inputs for
agriculture, this study aims to study current research on the use of microalgae,
especially in the composition of agricultural inputs. A descriptive research was used, in
which it was based on literature from national and international journals. The
bibliographic material after being selected was grouped by subject and used in the
construction of the study. The fact that it is an excellent source of nutrients and has a
capacity for high productivity, in addition, it has a good capture of highly efficient
carbon; high content of lipids or starch, makes microalgae stand out in new studies in
relation to other raw materials in the composition of a certain product that can favor the
physiology of plants, stimulating growth and productivity. The development of new
agricultural inputs based on the use of microalgae to obtain these products is an
innovative alternative for new research.
