Abstract:
This study attempts to make an investigation into the main features of the military
dictatorship in Brazil. For this, the research was characterized as a study through an
exploratory qualitative observational study, with descriptive analysis, with a sample of
05 individuals who agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected using a
structured questionnaire during the month of May 2016. Thus the present work was
justified by the difficulty of setting only one factor to explain for what reason began the
military dictatorship in Brazil. You can portray a number of factors. In addition, it
sought a knowledge base of the recent history of our country. And also provide a critical
evaluation and have parameters to opine on authoritarianism and other forms of
government. As the ideas formed on the day of the perception of the current Brazilian
political system will have findings that educational quality training is the basis of
improvement of democracy. The results showed that the dictatorship in Brazil began in
the coming debate two ideas of the Soviet Union and the United States, moreover, it
became clear that the dictatorship, produced consequences that are felt to this day by the
Brazilian people, especially the poorest, residents peripheries and black, in whom lies
the repression of one of the most violent police the world. Thus the intersection of
several memories allowed to reflect on the crucial points that were analyzed in the
course of this study, which brought a better understanding of Brazil's dictatorship and
