Resumo:
We approach the φ-CDM cosmological model, in which we consider the scalar field to be tachyon and apply the first order formalism to obtain the equations that describe the dynamics of the Universe. In this model, the tachyon field plays the role of dark energy, acting as a source of the accelerated expansion of the Universe. In addition, we discuss General Relativity and Cosmology that form the pillar to develop and understand the theory of this model. Finally, we comment on the mathematical and cosmological advantages of using the tachyon scalars fields in the elaboration of cosmological models.
