Resumen:
The Natural Monument “Dinosaur Valley” is endowed of contributions of society of Sousa City! We can note its direct and indirect legacy in the development of various aspects of the Sousa-PB City, playing a role of great importance which in the Tourist, socioeconomic and cultural aspect. Given this inference in the daily of Sousa’s population, this work aims to understand how luxury aspects of “Dinosaur Valley” and the images of these elaborate as low as identity form the municipality of Sousa -PB, potentiate the development of the city and the region. In this sense, we find , from discursive elaborations of power relations that permeated the implementation and management of tourism in this county , to what extent , from the image of Sousa as " land of the dinosaurs," is positively valued and instituted an identity that becomes culturally accepted and ( re ) produces the local historical culture . We also discuss the political and socio- cultural resulting degradation or preservation of said paleontological heritage implications.
