Abstract

The Domestic violence is a very complex phenomenon, its causes are multiple and difficult to define. It is necessary to understand the motivations that lead to domestic violence against women, as well as to develop an effective thinking that recognizes such violence as a matter of public character, since it covers different social classes, ethnicities, and regardless of the level of education. of those involved. In order to collaborate in the fight against domestic violence, new laws for the protection of women, public coping policies and initiatives to guide society on the subject have emerged over time. Considering the problem of work to investigate how it is possible to face and combat domestic violence during social isolation resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic, the study aims to understand the effectiveness of the main public laws and initiatives to confront domestic violence in the pandemic context of for the present time, and for that purpose the concepts and forms of manifestation of violence were analyzed as a gender problem maintained culturally as a common practice and what are the contributions of Brazilian laws and public policies in confronting and combating violence and feminicide, justifying their relevance social, academic and professional debate on the topic. The methodological path included a literature review that used the empirical inductive method, seeking to compose detailed information to broaden the understanding of the content being investigated. The research obtained results favorable to its objectives, pointing out the effectiveness of laws and public initiatives in the face of the problem of violence against women during the social isolation and pandemic scenario of today. The effectiveness of laws such as the Maria da Pena Law and the Law of the Next Minute, as well as public reception policies such as CRAM and alternatives for the victim's request for help such as the red light in hand and applications for remote reporting are effective for prevention feminicide and combating domestic violence faced by women during full contact with aggressors during the pandemic, the debate on this topic being relevant to the whole of society.
