Resumo:
The origin of governance is associated with the moment when organizations passed
to be managed by third parties in order to improve organizational development,
reduce conflicts, align actions and bring more security to the owner. In Brazil, the
public governance assumed great importance in the management of public resources, being the object of many discussions about its practice. This research aims to analyze the level
of adhesion of the six municipal public schools of Ballro - PB to governance mechanisms
addressed in the “Survey of Governance Capacity of Organs and Entities of the
Public Administration” of the TCU. According to the Public Governance Index (iGovPub)
stand out a small disparity in the ability stage of schools in public governance listed by the global descriptive statistics of the data in relation to
adherence to practices (Min. = 0.57; Max. = 0.67; Med. = 0.63; SD = 0.037). verified what, of the six schools that responded to the questionnaire, all reached the intermediate stage in public governance, in which the strategic mechanism stands out the most, followed by control and leadership.
