In the business context, the leadership process is critical to directing people towards the organization's objectives and adaptation to the contingencies imposed by the
Marketplace. The objective of this work was to identify the predominant leadership style
in a retail organization, in the city of Campina Grande - PB, and relate with the
team performance. The methodological procedures adopted were based on the MQL
by Avolio and Bass (2004) and Reis Neto et al., (2012) to seek to indicate relationships between the style identified predominant leadership and the results achieved by the team. concluded
that the predominant leadership style was transformational and when related to
team performance pointed out that team performance may be related to
context in which the work is carried out, in which there is relative freedom for employees
if they develop.
